As a result of the empirical analysis, the effects of the perceptions about the overseas expansion of health care services on the expeditionary motivation (H1), those of the expeditionary motivation on the perceived risks (H2), those of the perceived risks on the risk reduction strategies (H3), and those of the expeditionary motivation on the risk reduction strategies (H4) were all found to be statistically significant. Also, the causal relationship by factor for indirect effects was verified. In this regard, it can be said that the results of this study provide a practical and important implication to expanding health care services to overseas markets for promoting the globalization of the healthcare industry; for it was performed targeting the medical personnel who can actually be dispatched to overseas work and identified the structural influence relationship among the perceptions about overseas work, dispatch motives, perceived risks, and risk reduction strategies.
